On July 16th, 2010, Vice-Chairman of the Si-mian Institute for Advanced studies in Humanities of East China Normal University, History Professor Xu Ji-Lin was invited to hold a forum entitled “Behind the Rise of China: How Will a Strong Country Face Civilization” at the Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences at Kobe University.  On July 27th, Professor Ko Ching-Ming from The Graduate Institute of Taiwan Literature at National Taiwan University was invited to hold a forum entitled “An Introduction to Taiwan’s Modernism Literature” at the Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences.  On November 5th, Professor Paul Webley from The University of London School of Oriental and African Studies was invited to hold a seminar entitled “Economic Psychology in the Century of Asia” at the Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences.

 On November 16th, Chairman of Si-mian Institute for Advanced studies in Humanities of East China Normal University, Professor Yang Guo-Rong was invited to give a lecture entitled “Problems in Modern Chinese Ideology” at the Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences.
